I am a meditation/mindfulness teacher and life and wellness coach based in Geelong, Australia. I work under the name Coaching ForCalm with groups or individuals both face to face and on-line.

About the Creator

In 2015, during a period of complete overwhelm, I returned to meditation, desperate to feel calmer and regain a sense of control. I discovered the Melbourne Meditation Centre and its practical, down-to-earth approach resonated with my background in science and nursing.

I learned that meditation and mindfulness didn’t need to be complicated or separate from everyday life. They were practical skills I could incorporate into my daily routine. Over time, I became calmer, more focused and present, and better able to manage life’s challenges.

Wanting to share this experience with others, I completed meditation teacher training in Melbourne and continued my studies with Eric Harrison at the Perth Meditation Centre. I also trained as a Life & Wellness Coach.

These two paths naturally came together in Coaching for Calm.

My role is not to tell people how to live their lives, but to help them discover what works for them. Through meditation, mindfulness and coaching, I help people build a practical toolbox of skills and strategies to draw on when life feels stressful, overwhelming or uncertain.

I’m excited to bring these tools and experiences to New Reality Journeys, supporting people seeking greater calm, clarity and a sense of control, wherever they are on their journey.

Mindfulness for Real Life

Finding a little more space in the everyday

Mindfulness for Real Life is a space to share meditations designed to navigate the thoughts, feelings and experiences that come with being human.

Rather than asking us to empty our minds, escape our worries or achieve a particular state of calm, these meditations offer a practical and compassionate way to meet ourselves where we are. They explore the challenges we recognise in everyday life — overthinking, feeling overwhelmed, getting caught up in difficult emotions, struggling with uncertainty or simply finding it hard to slow down.

The approach is conversational, accessible and grounded in real experience. There is no expectation to get it right, and no need to become someone who never worries, thinks too much or feels unsettled.

Instead, the intention is to develop a little more awareness, acceptance and space in the way we experience life — helping us respond with greater clarity, kindness and perspective.

Once Upon A Dream

This collection of gentle meditations originally created with children in mind, but can be enjoyed by absolutely everyone. Through soothing stories, imaginative journeys and moments of quiet, they offer a chance to slow down, relax and let the day gently drift away.

There is something wonderfully comforting about allowing ourselves to be guided by imagination — to wander into magical places, follow a story, and simply be carried along without needing to think or do.

Perhaps that is because there is a child who lives within each and every one of us. A part of us that still knows how to wonder, imagine, dream and find joy in the simplest things.

So whether you are a child, a grown-up, or simply someone who would like to reconnect with their inner child, these meditations invite you to get comfortable, close your eyes, take a gentle breath… and let yourself drift into a peaceful world of rest and dreams.

Things The Mind Knows When It Is Still

Things The Mind Knows When It Is Still

There are things we can only notice when we slow down.

In the rush of everyday life, the mind is often busy moving ahead — planning, remembering, worrying, wanting, trying. Yet when we pause, even for a moment, something else can become visible.

These poems are reflections on those moments of stillness: the simple happiness we might otherwise overlook, the stories our minds create, the freedom that can come when we stop believing every thought, and the quiet beauty of simply being here.

Written from the perspective of a meditation teacher, these poems are not intended to offer answers so much as invitations — to pause, to notice, to breathe, and to meet each moment with a little more presence.

There are many things the mind knows when it is still.

These are a few of them.

A Journey To Sleep

When you step into this journey, you will discover a collection of meditations, created to assist you to slip into slumber.

So often when our head hits the pillow and our bodies are craving rest, our mind is still busily ruminating over the day we just had, or even taking a deep dive into the past and the future. At other times we find ourselves waking in the early hours, our mind busy and our body now restless, unsettled.

Each of these meditations will guide you to both relax your body and calm your mind, and gently ease you into a sleepy state.

Before you begin your journey, make sure you have done everything that you need to do for the day, so that when the meditation ends there is nothing you need to do....but sleep!
