About the Creator
I'm here to enjoy my life, always have been, and have found 'life' - as others seem to live it - quite odd. Here are my ideas & insights on how to uncomplicate and delight in life more...

Dog Walks, Creative Breakthroughs & Building a Multimedia Publishing Platform | Tom Evans (Pt. 1)
In part one of our Book Ravers’ author-in-residence conversation with author and creator Tom Evans (a friend since around 2010), Tom explains how walking his dogs functions as a walking meditation that helps ideas percolate, especially when he changes routes for fresh perspective.
The informal chat retraces how a chance call via 'connector' Francesca Cassini led to the pair meeting, with Tom outlining his early writing journey: poetry, procedural nonfiction “workshop manual” books, and helping others overcome writer’s block through NLP and hypnotherapy.
Tom describes how his work evolved from bored IT consultant to author’s mentor, then to meditation teacher after his meditations gained traction in 2015.
He also introduces his latest and very exciting “retirement project,” a platform designed to unify and expand multimedia publishing (ebooks, audiobooks, courses, music, meditations, image galleries, and translations), and previews focusing next on our featured book - This We Know.

Author-in-Residence Tom Evans on “This We Know”: Reimagining What We Know to Create a Better Future
As our Book Ravers Author-in-Residence Tom Evans discusses his short philosophy book This We Know, inspired and written in two weeks in 2012, which explores what we know, what we don’t know, and how different thinking can shape a better world for future generations.
He explains his method of starting each chapter with a surprising fact (like coconuts being fruit) and “riffing” into wider perspectives, describing the writing process as a form of channeling and including a postscript imagining “The World We Could Know” in 2112.
Evans argues that imagination and perspective drive progress (as with Star Trek “communicators” becoming mobile phones), encourages readers to become disruptors now, and calls for using human intelligence and resources to sustain the biosphere, reduce conflict, and invest in healing and education, emphasising grassroots change over outdated leadership.
