Follow the Line: A Sound & Drawing Journey

By SÏRÏ Opli

Welcome to this four-day sound and drawing journey.

Together, we will explore a simple yet powerful way of creating more calm, clarity, and presence in everyday life using tools you already have: a pencil, a piece of paper, your senses, and a few quiet moments for yourself.

This journey weaves together movement, sound, and image through the kinesthetic, auditory, and visual senses. By engaging all three, you invite the mind to settle, the body to soften, and the inner world to express itself without needing words.

Each day, find a comfortable place where you can be undisturbed for a few minutes. Let this be your time. A small act of choosing yourself.

As you listen to my piano painting, place your pencil on the paper and allow it to move freely. There is no right way and no wrong way. No art skills are required.

Simply follow the music.

Let the pencil travel across the page in one continuous movement. When the movement feels complete, gently lift the pencil.

Pause.

Take a breath.

Notice what you feel.

What changed?

What wanted to be expressed?

What happens when you stop trying to control the line and allow it to lead the way?

Welcome to the journey.

The Zone : How to Get in It and Stay in It

By Tom Evans

Have you ever been in The Zone but not known how you got there? Have you ever been out of The Zone and wondered how to get back in it? Have you ever wondered where this somewhat mythical Zone actually was? Well this book is a map of how to find your way around it and how to stay in it. First we explore the Doing Zones where we are superbly creative and at the top of our game. Next we take a diversion to those places we end up where things don’t go so well – they are the Danger Zones. The third part of this book takes you to a special and magical place where life becomes a breeze – these are the Being Zones.

We finish with a magical exploration of Super Zones.

The book comes with downloadable graphics you can cut out and play with.

Tongue Drum for Beginners

Tongue Drum for Beginners

By Alicia Mott-Comitto

This journey will cover basic music principals as they relate to the tongue drum. We will be working with a C-Scale tongue drum** (most standard beginner tongue drums are C instruments, but you should make sure your instrument is compatible).

We will go over the "musical alphabet" and how it relates to your instrument. I will teach you to label your instrument, identify the tones on it, and then use those tones to improvise for meditation. In the last session of the journey, we will do a sound meditation together, using the tongue drum as our guide. This will be an opportunity for you to play along, implementing what you've learned, and vocalize along as the meditation progresses.

I can't wait to meet you and see you in class!

**You must have your own tongue drum to enjoy this course to its fullest, as we will be learning to play this instrument with the ultimate goal of using it in personal meditation.

Sound and Canvas: An Art and Music Experience

By Alicia Mott-Comitto

This is a journey for your eyes as much as your ears.

Open the accompanying artwork and allow your gaze to rest upon it as you listen. There is nothing to interpret and nowhere your mind needs to go.

Notice what draws your attention. Notice what changes as the music unfolds. Notice what you feel.

Simply look. Listen. And see what arises.

Drawing It Out- A ten Day Journey back to Yourself

By SÏRÏ Opli

DIO — Drawing It Out

A New Reality Journey with SÏRÏ

What if you didn’t need to think your way back to yourself?

What if you could draw your way there?

Drawing It Out — DIO — is a journey into inner stillness through one of the simplest tools we have: a line on a page.

You do not need to be an artist.

You do not need to know how to draw.

And you do not need to make anything beautiful.

In fact, that is part of the point.

I created DIO through my own experience of discovering what happens when we allow the hand to move before the thinking mind has time to decide what should happen.

A pen.

A piece of paper.

A line.

And suddenly there is another way of listening.

DIO combines guided reflection, drawing, sound, music and moments of stillness to help you move underneath the noise of everyday life. Instead of trying to explain everything with words, you allow the body and the hand to speak.

The drawing becomes a conversation.

Not a picture you have to understand or interpret correctly, but a place where something inside you can become visible.

Throughout this journey, I will invite you to draw without judgement, without planning and without needing to know where the line is going.

Because this is not really a journey towards becoming better at drawing.

It is a journey of remembering.

Remembering the part of you that existed before all the expectations, roles, responsibilities, stories and noise became so loud.

The part of you that already knows.

The part of you that can become quiet enough to hear itself.

You may discover feelings you have not had words for. You may recognise patterns, memories or parts of yourself that have been waiting for your attention. Or you may simply experience something wonderfully uncomplicated:

peace.

There is nothing to achieve here.

There is only something to meet.

You.

One line at a time.

Welcome to DIO — Drawing It Out.

Welcome to Drawing Yourself Home.
