About Your Guide

There is a quieter way of knowing available to every one of us.

Most of us have been taught that clarity comes from thinking harder, gathering more information, or finding better answers. Yet many of life's deepest transformations occur in a very different way. They arise not from adding more to an already busy mind, but from entering a different state of awareness altogether.

For more than twenty years I have devoted my life to exploring that possibility.
I am an Interfaith minister, spiritual counselor, meditation teacher, writer, and lifelong student of what it means to be fully human. Those titles describe some of what I do, but they do not fully describe the work itself. My work has never been about offering answers or asking others to adopt my beliefs. My work has always been an invitation to experience life more fully.

Over the years I have come to understand that information alone rarely changes a life. We can understand something intellectually for years, yet continue to live exactly as we always have. Real transformation occurs when understanding becomes embodied, when insight moves beyond the mind and begins to shape the way we live, relate, create, and love.

That understanding has become the foundation of everything I offer.

Whether I am writing an essay, recording a Journey, sitting with a client, leading a meditation, or standing before a couple on their wedding day, my intention remains the same. I seek to create the conditions in which another human being can discover a deeper relationship with themselves.

Everything begins with an invitation.

The invitation is not to believe something. The invitation is to become curious enough to explore a different possibility.

As we enter that exploration together, you will discover a state of coherence. Coherence is not simply a pleasant feeling or a momentary sense of calm. It is an integrated state of being. It is the place where the noise of fear, anxiety, and constant mental activity begins to settle, allowing a quieter way of knowing to emerge.

From that state something remarkable becomes possible.

What first appears as an occasional experience gradually becomes a more familiar way of living. Practice, over time, turns understanding into embodiment. Insight becomes lived reality. What was once experienced only in moments begins to shape everyday life.

Transformation is no longer something we chase. It becomes something we live.

I do not have your answers. I see my role as someone who creates the conditions in which your own deepest wisdom becomes accessible.

My work is an invitation to return to that quieter place, to rediscover the wisdom that has never left you, and to gradually embody it in the way you live your life. My hope is that you leave one of my Journeys more deeply connected to yourself.

I invite you to begin.
A Return to Love

A Return to Love

For thousands of years, the Psalms have given people words for those moments when ordinary language seems inadequate - words for longing and sorrow, for fear and surrender, for love, and for the great mysteries of being human.

A Psalm is more than something to be read or understood. It is contemplative writing - an invitation to become quiet and allow the words to reach beneath the thinking mind.

These Psalms came into being during an intense emotional and contemplative time in my own life.

I found myself drawn to the ancient Psalms, and discovered that while their intention spoke deeply to me, much of their language did not.

And so I did what I have learned to do when words fail me.

I became quiet.

From that stillness, new words began to emerge - words that carried something of the intention of the ancient Psalms, but spoke in a language that felt true to my own understanding and experience.

I have kept the numbers of the Psalms that inspired them, not because these are translations or modern interpretations, but because each carries, for me, an echo of the original.

Together, these three Psalms trace a contemplative journey through the human experience - from the heart’s longing, to a return to presence, and ultimately, to transcendence and a return to Love.

These are contemplations, not prescriptions. Some of their language is intentionally spacious, even paradoxical. They are not meant to deny the reality of pain, loss, fear, or difficult circumstances, but to invite another question: What else might also be true?

The final Psalm carries the journey to its furthest threshold, inviting us to contemplate Love as both our origin and our homecoming - and death not simply as an ending, but as a doorway into a mystery larger than what we can presently see.

As you listen, there is nothing you need to understand, and nothing you are being asked to believe.

Simply allow the words to meet you where you are. Listen not only for what they say, but for what they awaken within you.

And perhaps, somewhere within these words, you will recognize something your heart already knows.

This Journey is offered for personal reflection and contemplative exploration. It is not intended as mental health treatment or as a substitute for professional medical or psychological care. Please listen in a way that honors your own emotional well-being.

Coming Home

Coming Home

Very early, we learn what we need to do to feel safe, loved, and accepted in response to circumstances that may have felt overwhelming.

Some of us learned to be responsible before feeling ready. Others learned to remain quiet. To be good. To take care of other people. To hide what we were feeling. To put the needs of others ahead of our own. Or maybe we simply learned to become whatever the world needed us to be.

Those ways of responding may have served a purpose at one time. But sometimes, long after childhood has ended, the younger parts of us continue to respond as though the old circumstances are still true. As if the old ways of acting are still relevant. As if the judgments we formed as children are still accurate.

Coming Home is a three-part Journey into a different kind of relationship with yourself.

In the first meditation, Meeting the Child Within, you will meet the younger part of you from the steadiness of who you are today. You will have an opportunity to listen, to reassure, and to let that child know something they may have needed to hear for a very long time - The scary times are over. You are here now. And you no longer need to carry what was never yours to hold.

In the second meditation, The Courage to Feel, we will explore something many of us learned to do very early - suppressing emotion that once felt too difficult, too dangerous, too messy, or too unwelcome to express. The Courage to Feel invites you to become curious about what you are feeling, at your own pace and always within your control, discovering that you can remain present with yourself – and feel.

In the final meditation, Learning to Listen, you will once again connect with the child you once were, listening more deeply for what they need from you now. The Journey will end with an opportunity to journal in response to the insights that arise.

This Journey is not about reliving the past. It is about changing the relationship you have with yourself in the present, allowing you to respond to life from who you are, rather than reacting to life from who you have been.

The only requirement is a willingness to listen.

Whenever you are ready, I invite you to meet the one who has been patiently waiting to be found.

An Important Note Before You Begin: This Journey may bring up strong or unexpected emotions. There is no need to push through anything that feels overwhelming. You are always welcome to pause, return another time, or seek the support of a qualified mental health professional if something arises that feels difficult to navigate on your own.

Be Still and Know

Be Still and Know

There are times in life when we sense something is yearning for expression, but we aren’t yet sure what that might be. We may find ourselves at a crossroads, searching for clarity while our minds are crowded with questions, possibilities, fears, and the desire to know exactly what comes next.

What if, instead of searching harder for the answer, we became quiet enough to allow it to emerge?

Be Still and Know is a three-part contemplative Journey designed to help quiet the noise and create the inner space from which clarity can arise.

The Journey begins by gently settling the body and mind, using breath, music, and focused awareness to release distraction and return to a more centered state. From that place of stillness, you are invited to turn your attention inward - away from external expectations and the mind’s need for certainty - to listen for the quieter voice within. Questions of identity, purpose, desire, and next steps become opportunities for discovery rather than problems that must be solved.

Finally, the Journey explores what it means to trust what you discover. Through a meditative teaching, you are reminded to trust what feels true and find the courage to take the next step, guided by your own inner knowing.

This is not meant to be a one-time Journey. Life continues to change, and questions will continue to arise. I invite you to return whenever you find yourself at a crossroads, to become still enough to hear, and respond to, that soft voice calling to you to be more.

The three tracks are especially powerful when experienced together, each one building upon and deepening the experience that came before. But each also stands beautifully on its own. I encourage you to return to an individual meditation whenever you wish to become more centered, seek greater clarity, or find encouragement to act on what you already know.

Be Still and Know offers more than a temporary experience of calm. It offers a repeatable practice for meeting uncertainty: becoming still, listening within, recognizing what you know, and learning to trust yourself enough to respond.

Clarity doesn’t always come from thinking harder. Sometimes we simply need to become still enough, long enough, to hear what we already know.

Welcome to the Journey.
